Katie brings over fifty years experience in the Social Justice Movement. Educator, activist, author. Adjunct College Instructor for 30+ years -- MHCC, PSU, PCC, Chemeketa, OCCC, TBCC, CGCC,CCC, Clark Community College and Pacific Oaks College. Trainer and Consultant in Anti-Bias/Anti-Oppression in Education. Coordination of Early Childhood Education at OMSI (1985-1990). Past Head Start Teacher, Ed Coordinator, and Program Manager. Board Member and Board President of the Early Childhood Equity Alliance (1998-2002). Founding and current Board member of the Threads of Justice Collective.  Author: "All the Colors We Are: The Story of How We Get Our Skin Color" (best-selling children's' book),Redleaf Press, 1994 and 2014. Winner of the Teachers’ Choice Award, 2014. and "Anti-Bias Education in the Early Childhood Classroom: hand in hand step by step" 2017 Routledge Press
